If you’re looking for a nature-based setting for your Columbus-based wedding that’s also not too far from the city, look no further than Jorgensen Farms! With two picturesque event spaces located on a working, family-owned, organic farm with a pond, pasture, and oak tree line, Jorgensen’s has a natural, authentic, and contemporary feel. Located northeast of downtown Columbus, approximately 10-15 minutes from I-270 in Westerville and 5 minutes from SR-161 in New Albany, Jorgensen’s two venue options offer flexibility and affordability.
Event Space #1: The Historic Barn is a renovated, post and beam 1800’s barn with natural wood walls and floors, and sliding glass doors open to the sweeping, adjacent Flower Field. Clients can celebrate outdoor ceremonies under the canopy of a burgeoning oak tree surrounded by flourishing foliage. The Barn includes optional air conditioning and heat.
Event Space #2: The Oak Grove features a contemporary twist on a classic barn with a century-old iron and cypress greenhouse for wedding ceremonies and a dramatic steel and glass Main Hall for receptions. The heated and air-conditioned Main Hall provides all the things we love about barns – wide-open space, high-peaked ceilings – but with floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall glass windows.
Both reception locations include an outdoor fire pit and offer the option for couples to provide their own decor or hire Jorgensen Floral Design for a custom design. Events with catering use Jorgensen Catering & Bartending, which preps food for both venues out of Oak Grove’s commercial kitchen and uses food grown on Jorgensen Farms or from other local farms/distributors. On-site parking with parking attendants are included in all wedding packages.

What’s your favorite part about coordinating weddings at Jorgensen Farms?
The familial aspect of our small but hearty team! We care deeply about each and every couple that chooses to celebrate their day at Jorgensen Farms and will do everything possible to make their day exactly what they want it to be!
Note: The Jorgensen team’s enthusiasm and commitment to turning each couple’s wedding day vision into reality is evident in their effusive reviews: “Wow, what a team. Never have we worked with a group of people who so passionately love what they do and so genuinely want to make this experience and day so special. We cannot thank you all enough for making this the day we have always dreamed of.”
What’s your favorite moment of weddings and/or receptions?
Seeing the bride and groom’s face walking back down the aisle after they have just been announced husband and wife. <3
What’s the wildest thing a couple has ever requested? Or the wildest thing you’ve ever seen someone do at a wedding?
Our bride’s father used to do Elvis Presley impersonations/performances. The groom had never seen her dad perform before since he had been retired for years. At the wedding, the Father Of The Bride snuck away and completely transformed himself into Elvis. He surprised the groom (and the guests) with a singing performance. It was hilarious and so fun.
What’s your best wedding day advice for the couple?
Be present. Completely present. And breathe.
